Nursing Assistant Program

Nursing assistants, sometimes called nursing aides, help provide basic care for patients in hospitals and residents of long-term care facilities, such as nursing homes.

Our Program

This program prepares you for an entry level position as a nursing assistant. It emphasizes basic patient-care skills based on the knowledge of universal precautions, asepsis, basic human needs, body mechanics, treatments and procedures, patient admission, transfer, discharge, and eldercare.

Students are eligible to sit for the Arizona State Board of Nursing Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Examination upon completion of the NUR 100, Nursing Assistant course.
